What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic is a conservative care treatment option for people suffering from joint and/or muscular pain syndromes involving the spine.

At Brummert Family Chiropractic in State College, PA, we will evaluate your spine to determine exactly what structures are causing your symptoms. Then, we provide treatment to these areas to decrease pain, increase range of motion, and restore normal function to your spine, joints, and muscles.

When to seek chiropractic care.

Chiropractors are “Portal of Entry” doctors. This means you are free to seek a chiropractic consultation at any time you choose, with any chiropractor you choose, without a prescription from your medical doctor or primary care physician. You should seek chiropractic care at our State College office when you are first noticing symptoms of neck pain, upper back pain, low back pain, headaches, radiating pain into the arms and/or legs, and/or tingling and numbness in the arms and legs. Any of these symptoms can be generated by structures of your spine and should be evaluated for treatment before becoming chronic or debilitating.

An evidence-based approach to chiropractic care.

At Brummert Family Chiropractic, your well-being is our main concern.
At our office in State College, PA, Dr. Craig Brummert will sit down with you to learn more about your condition and previous health history.

You'll receive an examination to determine the most appropriate treatment options for your care. Your treatment will not begin until you are comfortable with our approach, and we have addressed all of your questions and concerns.

We take great pride in our patient-centered approach, and we are confident that you will appreciate our thoroughness and attention to detail. At our State College chiropractic office, every patient is treated as a unique case. You will never feel like just another number in a “cookie-cutter” treatment plan.

Instrument Assisted Adjustments

Although we primarily utilize manual techniques in our office, we also have the option of providing instrument-assisted adjustments.

We will recommend instrument-assisted adjustments when we believe that manual manipulation will not be well tolerated by the patient. For example, some patients in severe pain initially require a less invasive approach to treatment before providing manual adjustments.

This type of treatment may also be indicated for older individuals who suffer from diseases that decrease bone mass and strength.
