A message from Dr. Brummert:

“It is absolutely crucial to find a chiropractor that is well informed and honest about what chiropractic can do as well as what it cannot do. There is an enormous body of evidence that supports chiropractic treatment for aches and pains related to the spine. In fact, spinal manipulation is now recommended by the American Medical Association for low back pain, and the FDA has recommended that medical providers consider chiropractic care for treatment of musculoskeletal pain syndromes.

Even with all of the evidence that supports chiropractic treatment, many people that could benefit from care are still reluctant to take that step and call the office.  If you are one of these people, my message to you is simple. I will never recommend care that you do not need. I will take the time to make sure you understand your financial obligation for each treatment. I will set clear goals and a timeline for improvement. I will release you from care when you are out of pain or when the treatments no longer benefit you. What are you waiting for? Let’s talk today!” Contact him

Spinal Manipulation

Spinal Manipulation

Spinal manipulation encompasses a  number of common chiropractic techniques used to decrease pain and increase range of motion. Spinal manipulation is a non-invasive, conservative care approach to treating patients who suffer from muscle and joint pain. Some patients are apprehensive to try this type of treatment; however, there is a vast body of evidence supporting the safety and effectiveness of spinal joint manipulation…
Heat/Muscle Stimulation

Heat/Muscle Stimulation

Electric muscle stimulation reduces pain by interfering with painful nerve signals to the brain. It also helps to restore normal function to muscles after an injury. This modality is often used in conjunction with spinal manipulation when a patient is suffering from an acute injury or when there is pain accompanied by muscle spasm. Similarly, heat therapy is often used to reduce muscle tension and pain prior to performing a spinal manipulation.
Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial release therapy is a massage-like treatment used to decrease pain by easing muscle tension. Because joint dysfunction is often accompanied by painful and tight muscle fibers, most appointments at Brummert Family Chiropractic include 5-10 minutes of myofascial release therapy prior to the spinal adjustment. Although myofascial release therapy can be uncomfortable, don’t fret, we will adjust the amount of pressure applied to meet your tolerance.
